New Year

Happy New Year! Here’s hoping 2006 is better than 2005!

Here are my goals:

• Lose more weight, I’ve lost a bit over 20lbs in the past 2 months so far
• Get a car
• Get a Nikon D50 camera
• Work on my photography
• Take Daniel to more fun places whenever I have a vehicle to use
• Learn to manage my money
• Learn how to properly grocery shop
• Try to keep the bedroom more clutter-free

I might add more to this list heh.

Better Get It Right

Yesterday afternoon my sister dropped off her car for me to use, so after work I went home to grab my son and tripod and treked over to the forest preserve. No sooner than did my single foot touch the ground did an officer drive through the parking area, lights blazing, and saying over the loud speaker, “The forest preserve is now closed!” so then we went to a library, where I checked out 17 books heh, and I drove around getting lost a lot. We rented some movies, Shrek for him and Wedding Crashers for me. For dinner we had fast food since I didn’t get us home until 8pm.

I most likely can use my sister’s car tomorrow, which depending on the weather forecast, I might do so I can go back to that forest preserve.

One Fine Day

Brookfield Zoo

Since Danny’s birthday is tomorrow… but I have to work… I took him to the zoo today! Of course it isn’t as active as it is in the spring and summer, but there was still plenty to see and we only saw 1/3 of the zoo!

Happy 4^th Birthday!

Today is my son’s FOURTH BIRTHDAY! I love him SO much and he truly is the light of my life. I still can’t believe he went from a wee 8lb 3oz baby to this amazing, loving, smart child.

I have zero energy today. I found and went through all of my old letters and photographs. Made me all sobby for a bit there.

Why Must You Copy?

I am so sick and tired of finding referrals to Pagan at OneStarryNight with people asking on how to make a site “just like” “similiar to” etc. So instead of helping with the community based site that exists, they would rather copy the idea thinking it will thrive with zero participation.

I think I am going to re-do Pagan at OneStarryNight  with it’s own EE install and members and have it member only again.

I am so fustrated. Grr.

Trading Races?

FX — Black White

The FX channel is releasing a new show that instead of say trading spouses, they will be slathered in makeup and trade… races. Going from “white to black — black to white” hence the title of the show. I assume it’s to “show” the people how prevalent racism still is.

• Fought for a VBAC and lost
  "She proceeded to make the comment “I know the situation, and because of that I’m not feeling sympathetic” in reference to Sarah leaving the hospital AMA and not accepting a repeat c-section previously, and to the massive amounts of pain she was in."
• Vent - VBAC Scare Tactics
  "He then recanted and said, “well maybe it’s not a law, but I’ll tell you NO hospital will ALLOW you to VBAC without it”. Right ok, so first fear tactic and lie."
• I had TWO c-sections
  "It’s hard because sometimes I almost feel shame or guilt that BOTH of my c-sections were medically needed."
• Who Am I?
  "I went from a victim, a weak worthless nothing to a MOTHER. I went from being a punching bag to a protector and then lost myself yet again."
