The Coffee Spill of 2006

So I get up on time, I get showered, prepare my lunch and I am out the door early. I head over to Starbucks. I get my Venti Vanilla Latte. I drive away… 2 minutes later the FUCKING COFFEEE EXPLODES all over MY CAR!!! Not ME of course but my CAR and IPOD and IPOD CAR CONNECTY THINGY!!!!! So of FUCKING course the ipod isn’t working in my car, I drive back after spending 10 minutes trying to clean everything with paper towel and Starbucks made me a new coffee for free but again IPOD NOT WORKING!!!!!

I am not happy NOT HAPPY oh and then I get to work and the fax machine ate it’s ink ribbon cartridge. WHYYYYY. *woe*

All That She Wants

We found a “new” park and had awesome veggie enchiladas from a recipe that Mary gave me!

Yay Boobies!

Dunno if y’all knew this but I am pro-breastfeeding. I don’t agree with formula for common usage, it should be left for those rare special cases where breastmilk can not be used/found/given to child. I feel that children should self wean. My son self weaned right as he turned 4 years old. I feel that America has sexualized the breasts so much (and to be honest America is really uncomfortable with sexuality in general) that women don’t realize what purpose their breasts are for. Only 1 – 3% of women can not breastfeed. The rest, in my eyes, either breastfeed or choose not to. Now what really pisses me off are the ones that do not breastfeed for invalid selfish reasons. Such as:

I don’t want saggy boobs omg! Well then don’t even get pregnant because my breasts sagged from pregnancy swelling them up 5 times their original size

My breasts are for my MAN Wow, so you would forsake the health of your child for a man’s (who also is forsaking the child’s health) sexual pleasure?

It will hurtttt! Not if you have a proper latch. Usually it takes practice to get and recognize a good latch, try the LLL, read books, call a Lactation Consultant

It’s disturbing to me how people can get so very defensive about this topic. It makes me believe that the person has a lot of unresolved guilt for their parenting choices. If you make a parenting choice, stand by it, don’t attack other people because you are not secure as a parent.

Gonna Make You Sweat

I’ve not really been online this weekend, I did however sleep, drive a lot, and watch movies.

The Chronicles of Narnia is fucking awesome. I can not express my love for this movie. I have also rented Brokeback Mountain but haven’t gotten a chance to watch it yet.

I’m so unfocused lately, it’s driving me crazy. I feel so disconnected. I don’t know why.

Almost as unfocused as this entry is turning out to be.

Coffee’s Frothy Goodness

I’m on my 2^nd venti vanilla latte. I feel a wee bit jittery. It’s so damn good though.

It’s supposed to rain. It was pitch black outside, no rain, now it’s all sunny again. I am slightly creeped out. Then again. It could be because I’ve drank like a gallon of coffee. Who knows. ETA I did the math, I drank 40 oz of the goodness. I’m this close to becoming the hummingbird.

At least the ants haven’t come back to make me their queen and overlord today… yet.

Well I am not as cracked out as I was yesterday. More reflective today actually. Yay for mood changes!

I am just… lonely. Really lonely. I can be surrounded by a ton of people and feel so utterly alone. I can’t figure out how to change this. I miss talking on the phone (I mean to people aside from just Mary lol) and I guess… connecting with people?

Why is it that all of the people you want to be friends with, hang out with, all of that… all live outside of Illinois?

I just want to feel close to someone.

See what happens when I don’t get that extra 20 oz of coffee? Heh.

I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For

Yeah long title but alas it’s the song I am currently listening to so pretty title area thingy be damned!

As an update to the bra situation, I went and got an even exchange… this time instead of black bra’s I got a beige and a pink bra. Pink. I am still not sure if I want a pink bra. It’s so… pink.

Alas.

I am planning on taking the wee child over to Lamb’s Farm, since it’s so fantastic weather wise today.

I have a billion emails to return at home, especially to Martyn hehe.

I do plan being on Skype tonight (my username is starrymom of course).
