If You Could Only See

Unfortunately, my personal life isn’t having the best of times. My son’s father keeps trying to make half-assed attempts to irritate me, and my living situation worsens each day. I simply do not make enough money to get a calm living environment for myself and my son right now. Especially when I just got signed up onto full health coverage and a 401K at work so that is a bit over $250 monthly of income that will be taken out of my paychecks. Logically, I need to do it, emotionally…. it hurts because I really am having a hard time staying here. There’s nothing anyone can say or do to make it better, aside from some sort of million dollar lottery winnings heh.

On the plus side of life, Daniel had his first doctors and dentist appointment and all is fabulous! He is very healthy, perfect teeth, practically 4’ tall already!

So since I really can’t deal with spewing my guts out (if you’re gonna spew…. spew into THIS!) about the crappy side of life, here are recent photos from when we went to the Ren Faire last weekend!

And lastly, this fancy man strode up to my sister, looked into her eyes, and kissed her hand. I hardly had enough time to lift my camera and take this shot! So you can see him holding my sister’s hand, looking into her eyes… right after he kissed her hand. Oh yes.

Mexican Turkey Salad Over Baked Sweet Potatoes

This is so yummy, so filling, and so healthy, with just a bit of a kick to it. For all those Weight Watcher’s out there, each serving is 7 points and this recipe is for 4 fantabulous servings.

  • 4 large sweet potatoes
  • 12 oz cooked boneless, skinless turkey breast, shredded
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped (I used yellow)
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, chopped (I used red and yellow)
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped (I LOVE cilantro)
  • 2 Tbsp canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (use less if you can’t handle a bit of spiciness)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice

Preheat oven to 400

Attention Span

Uhh yeah I just joined WoW (World of Warcraft) and I got a “real” cell phone heh, it’s…. pink…. Verizon provider….. if anyone wants the number or anything let me know! Oh and if you’re on WoW let me know! Since I need people to teach me the ways! So that’s why I haven’t really been around.

Petty Behavior… and the joy of WoW

A wee small entry… I had a thought tonight (yes… just ONE single thought) that it sure is a shame that so many “adults” (legal sure… mentally and emotionally? Not so much.) take SO much time out of their day to “flame” other people based on weight, parenting, writing style, blog topics, etc. I refuse from now on to even have in my glitter bubble any negative people. If you are a person that spends even ONE hour a day bitching about some online person you don’t even KNOW on your blog, on message boards… well then you aren’t a person I want in my life. Oh and yes. I realize so few people will understand this chunk of the entry.

Anyway! WoW is glorious. I am Ametrine on the Dark Iron Realm, Amazonite on Maiev Realm, and a bunch others on a bunch of different realms, but those are my two main characters right now.

My right contact lens tore in half tonight…. while in my eye. That was an… interesting experience. So tomorrow I have to spend $50 I REALLY don’t have, on contacts. Monday I have to get up early so I can register my son for kindergarten before work since school starts on Wednesday. Does any other momma’s have any kindergarten tips for me? I am freaking out about it.

The Soul That You Have Is Electricity

Nothing like going four days without electricity to make one appreciate the Pagan plus side of having a ton of candles (although eventually I did have to buy more). The joy of heavy storms!

Financial damage? $150 in groceries, $90 for evil fast food, $80 for candles, matches, flashlights, and batteries. To say that I am broke is an understatement.

So yeah, that’s why I haven’t been around. Can’t wait to check my emails heh.
