First, I would like to express my disbelief that Ashley took it upon herself, after months of zero contact (we had a falling out), to apparently nominate me as “Freakiest Blogger”. Now, generally I wouldn’t have minded except it was her, who has a tendency to be malicious and my utter confusion, “Sarah is… well, she’s different.”, which makes me question the whole thing. Is this some sort of stab at my being Pagan? I don’t see what’s so “freaky” or “different” about me. Unless being a hard working single parent on a low income is something so rare, so bizarre, that she has to attack me for it? The whole situation makes me feel uncomfortable, not to mention that site is run by that pay per post company and I don’t want to be affiliated over there right now.
Onto other things…
I went to the doctor yesterday which was beyond pointless. I had to hear some poor 6 month old baby get five separate vaccinations. It broke my heart how someone could do that without even researching vaccinations. The doctor basically told me that the back pain will “eventually go away” and he couldn’t “do much about the migraines” and yet prescribed me Elavil… I don’t think I really need to feel suicidal from a drug right now! The side effects are scary! Plus it even states that it wouldn’t really be wise to take that drug if you’re bipolar… which I am. Just insane! Oh and my wisdom tooth is trying to escape out of my mouth in a super painful way. Poor Heather had me calling her ranting and raving about the doctor and my tooth heh.
At the store yesterday, my son found a toy guitar with all sorts of buttons and noises, that was originally $24… it was on sale for $9… HELL YES! So once we got home, he came to me and said, “So I was thinking…. you can join my band…. maybe the drums…. yeah I’ll put you on drums… *runs off to find a broken drum* here you go!” Then proceeded to rock out. I only wish I had a digital video camera to show how he really and truly rocks hard core with a guitar.
Oh this is funny, over at dnscoop apparently OSN is worth $14,544. If only!
Since I will be doing my grocery shopping either tonight or tomorrow, I would appreciate some tasty recipes, anything and everything!
Anyway, photos!
Here’s a photo of the back of my car.

A photo of my Spring box.

Here are some photos of my crystals/stones and such. Ohhh shiny!

I think I am going to re-open Pagan@OSN….

Ok, pagan.onestarrynight.com. I am slowly re-adding the BOS, added a question and answer area, any suggestions would be great.

Here’s some recent photos!
From the in-progress “Scrapbook of Shadows”.

Mostly a photo entry, it’s been a beyond amazing stressful week that has mostly sucked…
Anyway.
I was shooting some photos of a tiny creek at a nature preserve because I thought the super green algae was cool, when I went to process the photos I came across this one, this is unprocessed with the exception of the border and resizing. I’ve included a link to download the RAW file which is in NEF (nikon’s raw format).

Interesting isn’t it? I can explain sparkles by saying well it was sunny out… but PURPLE SPARKLES? Interesting! So if you want, download the RAW file!
Here’s the other photos I shot today.

New design yeppers. I’ve had the migraine from hell this weekend but yesterday I took my son to the Morton Arboretum yesterday and we had a ton of fun and then had IHOP for dinner with my sister.
OSN wise, I am now re-hosting Malory and Odis! So go over and say hi!
Here’s some photographs from yesterday.

Here are some photos I shot yesterday at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. It was cloudy most of the time we were there which didn’t make me all that happy, so I will probably try to go again next month!

Well… I’m fickle, that’s my only explanation for another re-design. Anyway, I recently bought a blender and since I adore smoothies, I want you to share your favorite smoothie recipe! I am fond of strawberry and peach combinations but I am willing to try anything! It’s been so warm lately that I felt now was a good time to buy it, plus it was on sale. Speaking of warm weather, I finally broke down, located my box (well it’s round) fan, took it apart, washed it… for the most part… and right now Daniel just plugged it in and a big pile of dust puffed out. Fantastic. He is thrilled that we have the fan going though, “AHHHH fresh air circling ALL the time!”.
Well time to go to bed and hope that this piece of dust that lodged into my eye works it’s way out! Fun!
I reprocessed a photo from the botanic gardens, just cropped it more basically.

Oh before I completely forget, I was talking with my friend Crystal (who hasn’t blogged in a very long time… for shame!), about podcasting and she brought up how I used to do podcasts ohh… a year or two ago. Does anyone even remember that phase? Anyway, I thought the following conversation was freaking hilarious so I’m posting it now… because in 10 years I will read it and crack up all over again.
Me: Well more so fancy equipment where it SOUNDS more… REAL instead of a cheap $10 comp mic from the grocery store.
Crystal: Ahhh, of course. Well, the quality is limited but it’s not really a sticking point, I think. Even scratchy-sounding hosts can attract an audience if they’re charismatic. And you are.
Me: ahahah thank you! My never ending chipperness!
Crystal: Absolutely… you’re a chipper, frisky, freaking cute MAGNET. Hahah.
Me: AHHAA there ya go! I knew all the times I was told “you sound FUN” on the phone by random customers, telemarketers, and wrong numbers would bring me a future!
Crystal: LMAO I can just imagine it… “You sound FUN *eyebrow waggle*”
Me: HAHA exactly!! I can’t help my LUSH voice!
Me: No ego none at all!
Crystal: No, no, I remember when we talked on the phone ages ago… You talk FAST, lady. They think you have oral dexterity. *smirks*
Oh yeah, she’s naughty. Ok, bed time for real!
I have had the most fun this past weekend! Saturday I took the wee one and went to my best bud’s (look at the photos, isn’t she freaking gorgeous?!) place where we had nummy chinese food and sadly found out the hard way that the movie Miami Vice, sucked. She taught me how to parallel park! On my driving tests in Ohio and here in Illinois, I never was tested for parallel parking so I never bothered to learn. So now I know how to park on the left hand side of the street (it’s a one way street, parking on both sides) and I feel so super proud about that now. We also had a wee photo shoot which was SO MUCH FUN! Next time we want to attempt it in actual daylight hours so we can have natural light. We didn’t end up leaving until 4am because it was so fun!
Then today after doing a ton of laundry I went back, we had mexican food and I installed some programs and such on her computer and just chilled for a bit. Came home, did some more grocery shopping, and debating in my head what should go into my morning smoothie… I have frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, and frozen pineapple.
Ok, here are the photos, I would appreciate feedback please especially since I rarely take photos of another person lol and I threw in a photo of my sparkley pink bobby pin cause it’s pretty!
ETA I went through and removed members who haven’t logged in within the last 45 days.
Me I don’t look all that happy at like 3am now do I heh.

So last night I went back over to Kat’s place to shoot some more photos because we were bored. I went with the intent of working with the current theme “Green” over at Photography Girls. Sadly most of our ideas didn’t pan out, simply because it was at night and most of my ideas involved late afternoon light. Still, I think we got some awesome shots in general.

Quickly, here are some random shots from well… technically last night while I was over at Kat’s. We had a blast! Later on today though, I am supposed to go to the city to the finally reopened farmer’s market with my sister and then to a bunch of garage sales. Anyway, here are the photos!

This is the entrance to my favorite Chinese restaurant in Niles.

Kat shot these next two photos!

Kat and I had another photography shoot so each day I will post another photo from the shoot! The story is as follows. An evil temptress locates a box, she opens the box to reveal a potential threat she can use against Pandora. Once the temptress discovers and realizes what that threat is, she tries to tempt Pandora with it. In this first photo of the series, the temptress has just discovered the box and is questioning what could be in the box.

I seem to have lost all writing ability the last few weeks, I’ve just been super stressed out, migraines galore (even today YAY!), still tons of back and neck pain from the car accident (I just don’t like talking about it), and all sorts of personal crap I can’t post on my very well known (within my family) blog. I’m behind on a billion online projects (well… four… but still!).
On the perkier side, Kat and I enjoyed some bubble goodness this weekend.

I’m current waiting for the pot of water to boil, making just regular ol’ spaghetti with parm. Yum. Anyway, here are some random photos from the last few days.
