Changes

Well… today I put my two weeks in at my current workplace. I’ve been there almost 3 years (it’s a small family owned company) and recently got a hired for the Geek Squad in Best Buy. I am beyond terrified. It’s harder the older I get, to do these dramatic life changes. So in a way, to honor this, I shot a few self portraits to try and remind myself that I am stronger than I let myself believe.

Frickin sweet!  :)  I just recently put in my two weeks as well.  I hate making changes like that, because I was comfortable at the job, but I just couldn’t take it there anymore.

Take some pics of you doing donuts in the parking lot in that Geek Squad-mobile.  :p

Congratulations Sarah :)  Sometimes it’s those life changes that are the best decisions we ever make.  I’m very proud of you, this is a step in the right direction to get you where you need to be :)

Congrats on the new job! Big changes are scary, but you’ll knock their Geek Squad socks off!

BTW, love the new portraits, especially the second one.

I nearly cried when I saw this, Sarah. God, it’s been forever since you and I talked. I know, it’s my fault, but I promise you that I’m going to jump-start this friendship and get us back to the happy, peppy place we were before. We were at a happy, peppy place, weren’t we? Blah. Whatever. I just wanted to say that you’re scary beautiful. That is, you’re so beautiful that it’s hard to imagine you’re real. Doh. Mushy goodness in that last sentence. LOL! *squish* I miss you, Sarah.

Hey, Sarah, came over here after I saw your zooomr post about your blog (not really stalking you, I swear!). I love these shots! What post-processing steps do you take? I’d love to try to replicate this look in some of my shots.

Sarah (2820 comments)

@Tasha ahahha sure you’re not stalking me ;) Well, I use (depending on the shot) Adobe Lightroom or Adobe PS CS2 (I so want CS3!) I only shoot in RAW. I always adjust contrast and shadows and really from there I just play with saturation. I don’t think I have a style quite yet. Although I would have to say lots of contrast tends to be typical of me lol.
