Soothing

These photos are the only soothing thing going on in my life right now because both of my boys have the flu (my oldest caught it from other sick kids in his class at school). I’m getting 1 – 2 broken hours of sleep and can only function enough to take care of them (and count my calories!).

With my oldest my goal is just to keep him hydrated as much as he’ll let me and with the little one, I’m just nursing him as much as possible (because what’s better than hardcore full of antibodies breastmilk in a situation like this!).

So if I’m not around as much, that’s why!

Thank you! Daniel (my oldest son) appears to be feeling a bit better and his fever broke! Tristan (the little one) is super perky and the fever seems mostly gone, they both just have the cough.

That’s good, I’m glad to hear it. Thankfully my kids get fevers very rarely, but when they do it skyrockets.

Same here! I tell my husband all the time I feel so useless when the rare times either boy gets sick because it’s SO RARE and if they DO get sick, it’s over in a day or two (rather than a typical WEEK or two!).

I’ve had to take AJ to the hospital twice for high fevers. Not fun. Ariel’s been once, and I that was more cause I was like she’s a preemie and has a fever, AHHHHHH! Lol.

Terrible. Hope they recover soon and you’re able to rest. The pictures are so gorgeous.

SARAH, When you were a tiny girl and became sick I would give you a tupperware bowl to keep close by in case you became ill. Remember? Im sorry to hear the boys have been so sick. I remember all to well those sleepness nights of being up with sick children. I think about you all the time. GLENDA

Thankfully it’s not a stomach flu! Danny is doing much better (so much that I’m having him clean his room!) and Tristan is still only a bit sick (they both have a bad cough still) but since he nurses I’m not worried at all.

I hope the little ones feel better soon and that you find some time to get the much needed rest.

Love the photos, though. They are, indeed, soothing.
