I’ve recently subscribed to SquareHue, which is a monthly nail polish subscription box. You don’t get to choose the colors but each month generally has a theme.

For my April 2013 SquareHue Bloom Collection box, I received the following polishes:
(from left to right, in order)

  • yellow submarine
  • flower power
  • groovy love

(done without base or top coat)

I was so excited when I opened up the box and saw these cream springy colors but the formula? A total let down for me which is surprisingly because normally I get really great formulas from them!

Streaky, thick, bubbled on me… I have no idea why I had so many issues. I had super high hopes for the yellow because, just like white polish, it’s really hard to find a good yellow polish that doesn’t streak or need 4 coats to look sort of decent.

Overall, gorgeous colors but a not so good formula for me this month.

SquareHue polishes are 4-free which means they don’t contain DPB, Formaldehyde, Toluene, or Camphor. They do NOT test on animals and is made right here in the USA. They also donate a portion of your subscription fee each month to various charities.

I’m going to try them again, see about layering a glitter on top to see if that helps any.
