Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Diapason and Impulsion Swatches

December 23rd 2013 / 1 minute to read

The Chanel Illusion d’Ombre formula is one of my absolute favorites and I have so many of them… more than I care to admit!

The Spring 2014 collection includes two shades. Diapason which is a purple plummy brown shade (depending on the light) and Impulsion which is a light baby pink. All of the Illusion d’Ombre shadows have a great deal of shimmer, some are downright glittery, which only makes me love them more.

Impulsion leans towards the more sheer side of things but is still absolutely gorgeous. Diapason is STUNNING. I love purple overall and this is a great shade. In some lights it pulls a bit more plummy brown and in other light straight on purple. LOVE IT!

These shadows are supposed to be long-wearing on their own but I always use an eyeshadow primer, always, so I can’t really comment on the wear time without a primer.

I am so thrilled with these!

These are gorgeous, especially Diapason (which I keep reading as “Diazepam”…)! Merry Christmas to you, Sarah! Lots o’ love, lady bug!
