Confused?

I’ve oddly enough, gotten a few comments that this current design is “confusing” from reasons such as the placement of the link to comment (although I’ve had it by the title for over a year now) to placement of sidebars. As this is irritating me, I would like to know if you find this design confusing (and why) or not confusing (and why/praise/ravish me).

I need to get Daniel and I mittens (hehe that’s a funny word!) because the temperature has steadily been 30 degrees or lower and my hands freeze all day at work, even with the heat on. I’m thinking it’s good weather to make chili this weekend with some cornbread with some of that awesome cornmeal from the Graue Mill. I would love any chili and cornbread recipes!

I hope to have the CSS tab tutorial up this weekend, actually, does anyone check out / use the tutorials I have up?

I think everyone goes through this once in a while, the self doubt of having a website/blog. I always go through this when I renew OSN. It doesn’t help that I am all hormonal this weekend and that I’m freezing.

Speaking of freezing, what is your favorite part about cold weather?

I can’t help but be a bit amused that one of the nation’s top evangelical leaders is shown to be soliciting prostitutes and buying meth.

Design Change

Ok, I have the comment link switched to the bottom to help out a bit… even though now I’m confused lol. So I shall see if that helps y’all out!

More Design Change

Added a sidebar anchor under the tabs, added one all the way at the bottom to bring you back to the entry, changed the background color to a gradient, went and validated as XHTML strict, although my structure probably sucks lol. I know there’s a couple issues in IE6 (I forgot until now to even check heh) so I will fix those this weekend.

it took me about 30 seconds to find where the comments are. that’s not REALLY long but i guess it’s a little harder to find. maybe a different color?

i just love how fresh the air is when it’s cold! and how goregous everything is in fall and when it snows.

I LOVE this layout!  It’s original and not the ever-so-typical blog style layout.  I’m sure because of that, some might be confused, but it didn’t confuse me at all.

I prefer sidebars and find it a bit awkward to have everything below the blog.  However, since the design and the CSS of your site is extremely well done, I still love it!

I still love the innovative design, but I see what people are getting at from a usability standpoint.  Maybe it could be made easier to navigate with word links up at the top anchoring to the sections down below?

Thanks for the comment on my layout by the way.

I really like the layout.  I’ve wanted to do a layout with some sidebar info at the bottom.  I think you may have too much down there though.

The colors of the layout are great!  It a really good fall layout.

I like your layout.  Pretty and whatnot.  And I don’t think it’s confusing at all, especially if you have your eyes open ;)

I read the article you posted on the preacher who was buying the prostitutes and meth.  I found it funny that he said, and I copy and paste directly from the article, “he did not use the drug and threw it away.”  So he pretty much admits he bought it.  I just think that’s funny that he thinks by saying he threw it away it will make it any better.  Silly preachers.  I do feel sorry for his wife and children though.

My favorite part of cold weather is the snow.  I know it doesn’t snow down here in SC, but I’m from NY (family is living in Cleveland now) and I have grown up with cold weather and snow.  I loveeeee it.  You learn just how much you love it after you spend a winter down south and miss it :/  Oh well, maybe this year I will see some.

Hmm. This is the first time I’ve been here and I actually like the new look. It’s unique and still organized.
