Imbolc, Pizza Recipe, and Happy Songs

January 25th 2007 / 2 minutes to read

The photo is of one of the cat’s sleeping on my bed.

Imbolc is next Friday (February 2nd) and I want… no… I NEED to do something. It’s about renewal and I feel like I need to renew MYSELF. Purge the anger and bitterness. Let go of things I can’t control. Accept situations that have happened in my life. Move on. Any suggestions?

Tonight, yes, it was flatout bread pizza again! Here’s the recipe and point value for all those Weight Watcher’s out there.

Preheat oven to 350 and bake the flatout bread for 7 minutes.

  • 2 Light Flatout Bread Original
  • 1/2 cup shredded cooked chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp Kraft Spicy Honey Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/4 cup scallions
  • 1/2 cup Kraft 2% Finely Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup canned artichoke hearts, without oil
  • 1 lime

After 7 minutes, pull the flatout bread’s out of the oven. Cover each flatout bread with 1 tablespoon of the kraft bbq sauce and then add all the toppings, evenly divided, holding back the scallions and lime. Put back into the 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is all melted. Take out and squeeze a bit of lime and sprinkle some scallions on the top. Cut into at least 4 pieces. Yum yum! So for all of that, it’s 9 WW points.

I worked out to the Biggest Loser 1 DVD for an hour and now sitting down to my tasty Edy’s Light Vanilla Bean ice cream. I made Danny some cinnamon sugar toast. Well I guess I am going to go through the podlet for a bit.

Lastly, what are your favorite songs that, when you listen to them, you can’t help but smile and feel happy? Oddly enough, being Pagan ‘n all, I really like Christian Pop music. As long as it isn’t overly specific about Jesus and such, the songs are really perky. I am also really loving the band Dropping Daylight right now.

Mmmm, that pizza looks really good. Really, really yummy looking.

Happy music? OK, I won’t admit it to people, but when I’m down, I really like to listen to ABBA… and I tap my toes to the music for these plays: Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat… and CATS.
Yes, I’m strange. LOL.

I had more than my fair share of Christian pop when I was a teenager and into that sort of thing. I don’t have much of a stomach for it nowadays, I have to say. But if it works for you, you go girl!

You could start a spiritual blog, one dedicated solely for your spiritual devotions, thoughts, and reflections.  You could fill it with images, poetry, rituals, prayers, etc. – all for you and your spiritual renewal.  Just a thought, as I was thinking of creating something like that for myself, heh.  Not to pressure you, as I know that you had perfectly valid, understandable reasons for taking it down, but perhaps you need to bring back something like Pagan @ OSN to strengthen your spiritual bonds?  This is merely another suggestion, of course.  Meditation and personal time with the Divine could be a simpler and less taxing option.

I am on a similar path, with similar hopes for the upcoming sabbat.

Things I’ve done or going to do:

Did the 101 in 1001 meme with a starting date of 2/2/2007

Lighting a candle to mark new beginnings and letting the past be the past.

Considering writing letters, with no intention of mailing them, to the people in the past who I am still harboring resentment toward in an act of forgiveness.

Here are some links with instructions for making a Bridget’s Cross.

Young children can make crosses using drinking straws, older kids and adults can try their hand at using wheat stalks (found in most craft stores). Be sure to soak the wheat in tepid water for at least a half hour before weaving—the tub is a great place to do this.

That looks soooooo good. Is 9 points for the whole thing, or for each slice? Mmmmm. Your pictures always look so delicious.
