These are lovely. I love the contrast with the light and dark. Lovely. Bravo!

Yay! Thank you!

Beautiful photos! My favorite is the first one! Love ground shots like that! And the light on the flower is perfect! :)

Thank you! I was really pleased with that shot, I’m actually considering using it for my laptop wallpaper!

I think what I like the most about these ones are the colours. There’s something about your use of lighting that makes the colours look so amazing.

Thank you Mindi!

Hi hon! As always, I love your work. 1, 3, 4 and 6 are my favorites. 1 because it is sweet and sad all at once. 3 because I just love that pop of purple color. It brightens the day. 4 because yes, I agree — it would make the perfect desktop wallpaper. And 6 because the softness around the flower stem is done perfectly. The only thing I saw was on 1… the blur along the bottom could be feathered more maybe? The line seems a little too distinct. Overall, you did amazing!!!

Thank you! On the first photo the DoF was SO freaking shallow, I really (in hindsight) didn’t want it SOOOO shallow but I only managed to get the one shot off lol. However it makes it perfect for a wallpaper because there’s not a ton of detail!

Hey Sarah,

Such great shots these are. I especially like the 3rd one, the purple color of the flowers is so refreshing, and the blurred leaves backdrop makes it just come alive so beautifully.

Thank you so much Rita!

Andrea

Absolutely lovely photos. The light, the subject and the angle all complimented each other making the pictures stunning. :)

Another beautiful collection! Loving the composition and vintage-like finish on those last couple! Thanks so much for sharing and linking to our Leap into Spring Challenge!

Thank you Alicia!

They are all beautiful but that first image is my favorite. What lens did you use for these?

Reply to Ali

I’m pretty sure it was my 105mm macro!
