Early Garden Photos

May 30th 2019 / 1 minute to read

Just a handful of early garden photos, it’s so satisfying to grow a vegetable and herb garden every year, even more so when I’m able to grow anything from seed.

Here’s one of my iris plants about to bloom, this one is a pure white iris, I believe it’s called Immortality? It blooms in the spring and again in the fall.

I’m also growing shelling peas from seed this year, it’s so exciting!

And here we have a bean plant sprouting, it’s so cool! This is basically a green bean.

Are you growing anything this year? Let me know in the comments what kind of garden you have!

Ahhh, love it! We’ve talked about my garden, but I don’t get tired of it, so… I’m growing Astia zucchini for the second year – I think it has better flavor and thinner skin. I’m also growing Mountain Magic and Montecito tomatoes for the second year – so good, and super prolific! I’m excited about my paprika and cumin experiments. And then my dad has his own garden full of entirely different things, and that’ll be fun!

I am super excited to see how your cumin and paprika turn out! I use a ridiculous amount of cumin in my cooking.
