Meh

Only posting to keep up with NaBloPoMo… just a crappy night as I got AF and ate a LOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT over my calories on Portillo’s for dinner. Back on track in the morning but not sure how to try to make it “not so bad” over the next week or so, especially when I have ZERO energy to workout.

Everyone needs a cheat day. I know how you feel. Right now I’m sick and for the last two day’s I’ve gone over. I hate it. But just try to stay under or around your calorie count. You can do it. While exercising is good, I think diet is the key point. If you can’t do it for a week or so but eat right, you will be okay.

I lost my mind, I JUST got my AF (two days early), was exhausted, didn’t want to cook or do… anything…

Going to drop from 1680 calories to 1500 for a week to balance it out a bit.

Oh man, I’ve had more days like this than I’d care to admit, ha. It happens. :) My only advice would be to just be aware of what and why you’re eating. Try to recognize when you’re eating because you’re actually hungry, or for some other reason like boredom, stress, just because it’s there, or like in my case – because your kids didn’t finish their food and you don’t want it to go to waste, lol. If you find yourself eating for any other reason besides hunger, just try to stop and occupy your mind (and your hands) with some other activity. It’s easier said than done, I know. But this approach has helped me a lot.

Oh I don’t do this often, we cook every night and use whole foods, not processed foods. I’m not a snacker either.

However… last night I was exhausted, didn’t want to cook, and just got AF early heh. No sanity there!

Just pick back up. Yesterday is gone, today is a new day. As for working out, I always find it gives me MORE energy after the initial sleepy shock.

I tried to work out in hopes I would wake up and almost broke my ankle heh. I know a large part of THAT issue is just my lack of sleep (2-4 hrs a night). So just slowly working on that!

Going to drop from 1680 calories to 1500 for a week to balance it out a bit.
