Late afternoon is best and basically FACE the sun and get LOW down. Also using a macro lens or longer focal length lens helps as well as a wide aperture.
Nice shots! I like that you’ve shown some different subjects and perspectives than I’ve seen you shoot before. I also really love shot #2 — love the flowers and colors.
Thank you! That’s really the ONLY thing I don’t miss about Arizona, the lack of seasons in Tucson. I really do appreciate the defined seasons we have here in Illinois.
It’s hard sometimes to remember to spread the photos out, otherwise I’d have epic posts with 30 photos in each one lol!
Autumn really is a great time of year for photography, the light and colours are so interesting but I very sad that summer is just about gone. I am a true summer person.
Oh. My. God. The LAVENDER! That is seriously the most beautiful picture of lavender I have ever seen. I love it so much! And the maple branch! Like fire against that green background. Absolutely lovely!
Gorgeous and inspiring! This is my absolute favorite time of year . . . I just can’t get enough! So excited for when the leaves really start changing in my neck of the woods.
Very pretty! I especially like the second one. It has a nice soft feel to it. I wish I could get out and take some photos myself, but the tons of reading I have to do means I won’t see the outdoors… ever?
I love the third, fourth and fifth ones. So pretty! The colors in the third one are just perfect, like fire! The back lighting in the last one is so ideal.
beautiful photos :D question!! how you get that hazy look?
Thanks! In which photo? The second and the last one? It’s just the way I positioned myself so that the sun did all the work for me.
I gotta learn how to do that :P

LOL thank you! I love that!
And now you have a new name for your next Autumn photo post! :P
HAHAHA YES!!!
I’d like to apply my awesomeness toward payment for future blogging mishaps that I’ll have to inevitably hire you for. lol
HAHAHAHA DEAL! You come up with my post titles and I’ll fix your mishaps!
You really have a gift. Your composition, execution, and processing is perfect. You can do autumn photos as much as you’d like!
AHHH thank you! That means so much to me!
I really want to live near you. You make it look like the most gorgeous place in the world.
OH! That is so nice!
Nice shots! I like that you’ve shown some different subjects and perspectives than I’ve seen you shoot before. I also really love shot #2 — love the flowers and colors.
Thank you for noticing!!! Trying to break a bit out of my nature comfort zone lol!
And I love them all…again! :)
Aww thank you! People are going to get sick of these soon enough, still, it’s a change from my flower photos LOL! Just replace “flower” with “Autumn”!
I love these. I love all your fall photos. I wish we had Fall. ::sigh::

I’ve been so tired this week, but just looking at these photos seemed to energize me. Thank you.
Here’s my Wordless Wednesday. I hope you will stop by!
Aww thank you, that’s so sweet!

AH! See I am ALL about Autumn. When’s your birthday? I think people feel more in tune to the season around their birthday.

Oh stars, I didn’t realize how long it’d been since I was here last. I adore the third photo! Gorgeous colors!
Thank you! It’s amazing how fast the leaves have changed around here already. I hope to get some photo time this weekend.
Sarah, Your photography is absolutely beautiful, as is your page. I still admire your talent. Barb
Thank you so much!!
You take lovely photos. What is your favorite lens to shoot with?
Hmm it just depends. I do tend to go for my Sigma 105mm macro the most just because it’s more versatile.
I can’t get enough of flower photos! especially the second one! ;)
Thank you Arvee!
