Wish You Were Here
After work (and a migraine) I came home and cleaned my bedroom and did more dishes and finally dived into The Beatles Anthology Dvd’s that my love Lisa Marie sent me! It’s a true friend that realises my Beatles obession (I used to always say that John Lennon was my personal god)! Then I laid in bed for the next 4 hours with a second migraine. Fantastic.
I’ve slowly decided to try and be vegetarian for the next few months and fell in tasty goodness with Quorn, it really is tastes, looks, and is texture wise, exactly like chicken! I am still so shocked! So I would love some vegetarian recipes that don’t include soy since I have a taste sensitivity to soy products or at the very least tofu, soy burgers, soy meat substitutes and the like.
After watching a few hours of my Beatles, I got the utterly insane idea to make it a self portrait night so the following are what happens with a ‘cedrin Sarah at 4am!

Ah, migraines suck. I hope you can get something to make them livable. Eh, I tried going veg for a few months when I was a teenager, didn’t work out. I hate soy and tofu and I love meat, but Gardenburgers are pretty good. I don’t “love” the Beatles but I can and do watch “The Yellow Submarine” over and over again, haha.
Ooh those photos are gorgeous :)
I hope the migraines have gone for you!!
Here’s an excellent “veggie salad”:
– 1 red pepper
– 1 green pepper
– 3 tomatoes
– 1 can of black olives
– diced cheese of choice
– 1 package dry italian dressing
Chop up all the veggies, minus the whole olives and cheese chunks. Let the natural juices stay in the bowl from the veggies, and then mix in the dry package of italian dressing.
It’s amazingly good. Or you can add some seashell pasta noodles, and abit of extra virgin olive oil, oregano, parsley, and balsamic vinegarette for an antipasto pasta salad (that’s done without the usual pepperoni and salami.)
http://vegweb.com is perfect for finding recipes! I use it all the time. Enjoy it!
wow! those pictures are beautiful. i love what you did to them.
i’ve really never experienced migraines—- headaches, but not migraines, so i really don’t know how it feels but i know it’s way worst, and that must, well, suck!
quorn looks like chicken…i’ll just take your word for it.
Oh, I hate getting migraines they suck arse. Ohh & I love the pictures, really pretty. :)
Two migraines in a day? That’s awful, one migraine is enough to handle in a day for me. I hope you’re feeling better now! :) And if you haven’t already, perhaps it would do good to visit a doctor?
I’ve never tried quorn, but since I’m on a mission to eat healtier it might be a good option. So if you say it’s like chicken I’m all for it, haha.
Gorgeous pictures! You’re really pretty.
awww i’m sorry about your migraine!! Those hurt like no other!!! Awesome about your friend sending you that dvd!! Yay!!!
Your pictures are wonderful :)
Wow I hate migraines they are annoying as all get out hehe. That was sweet of your friend I had and still do have an obession with the Golden Girls I could watch them for hours lol but getting the DVDs cost too much ya know hehe
Sorry to hear about the migraine. They suck. At least Excedrine works for you. Those are lovely self-portraits, Sarah! Esp. for 4am on Excedrine. Also, don’t mind me if I can’t spell, feeling so icky right now. Blah.
Sounds tasty :) I fell in love with the pic even.
Nice pics you’ve got here :)
The Beatles were a great band. I love most of their songs.
I’m sorry about the migraine. I hope you’re better by now.
Good luck on being a vegetarian. I’d never do it, I just love meat way too much.
I love the Beatles too and I have visited a Beatles museum once. The photos look great:-)
Oh I love the beatles and yah those photos are fantastic! You are pretty! :D
Have you been to the doctor’s for your migraines? They seem to be really bad and constant. I love Excedrin. Too bad I can’t take it, lol.
Good luck with the vegetarian thing, I couldn’t do it.
I have an original press 1969 33-1/3 LP record album of Abbey Road, still playable on a phonograph, proudly displayed in my living room. I bought it as soon as it was released, when I was 14.
Good luck with the vegetarian thing. I went vegan for about 1 month and 1/2 and crashed. I want to go back. I couldn’t eat any of the soy burgers and stuff so I just stuck to vegetables and fruits mostly.
Does buying substitute products cost a whole lot more? And where do you buy them?
We don’t really have places which cater to alternate eating styles here.
