Not so wordless:
Yes this is my new design I’ve been working on, not a massive change but a lot of time and effort went into the “little” stuff. Your thoughts would be appreciated on both the photos and the new design!

This post is over a year old which means the content may be outdated or no longer accurate.

Perfect! The colours are so vibrant and diverse. What fun to play it’s almost irresistible to pick up leaves we’ve begun a collection of colours.

Wow. The new website looks great! I’ve checked out your last few wordless Wednesdays and your photography is lovely. There is something so strikingly beautiful about Autumn. It always inspires me to want to take pictures of all the gorgeous colors. You have done a great job of capturing that here, and what else could be more fun than playing in the leaves!

@Sukhmandir Kaur, thank you so much! Sadly within the last few days all the leaves are on the ground and the trees are bare. Won’t be long before it starts snowing!

@Monica, I appreciate your comment SO much! I think Autumn and Spring are big draws for photographers due to the vibrant coloring of all the plants and such.

Ahh, the colors are great! Looks like a TV commercial pic! Love it! Happy WW!

@BK and Julie, thank you so much for the comments!

I am so jealous. I live in Florida and our leaves just turn brown and .. die. We don’t have gorgeous colors like that!

Beautiful pictures!

This was my first time seeing the site redesign, and when I opened the page, I literally said, “Oh, WOW.” I love it!!! Really nice and elegant.

Oh, and the photos are nice too. :-D

I love the descriptive bit in the header. It would definitely help Stumblers and other browsing types know exactly what they are looking at when they find your page. :)

Plus, the font is gorgeous. I love the personalization and uniqueness of a handwriting font.

And so many tempting links and info bits in the right sidebar! <3

@Allison, Autumn is the ONE reason I enjoy living in the midwest. Back in Tucson, AZ we only had summer/spring lol.

@Auntie E, thank you! It really was a lot of fun that day!

@Cheryl, aww thank you! It means a lot to me as I REALLY worked hard on this design, even if it doesn’t look like it… it’s all the little things lol.

@Hip Mountain Mama, thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate it!

@Kristi, your comment made me smile like crazy! I’m working on redesigning the mobile version as well which should be an interesting challenge.

@OneDay and Ayie, thank you so much!

@Freya, thank you! Maybe you could explain more about StumbleUpon? I have an account but still know nothing ABOUT it.

I think that first photo is one of my favorites out of all of your photos. ONE of my favorites. There are far too many to pick just one haha. It’s beautiful. Well done.

The new design is awesome. I really should stop being so lazy and try and get something new up myself. I just always end up doing something else.

Thank you so much Lisa Marie! Already all the leaves are gone, the trees are bare, and the snow is slowly starting. Insane how fast the seasons seem to change!

Ha, I love StumbleUpon. Basically it is a way for people to discover new sites based upon their personal interests. You choose your interests (there are at least 100 to choose from) and sites within those parameters, recommended by other users, are recommended to you. If you have Firefox, there is a toolbar that you can download as an Add-On with a button marked “Stumble!” that you can click and be taken to a site from one of your chosen categories.

So say a Stumbler recommends One Starry Night for the category “Parenting”. Then people who have that category in their interests have a chance to be taken to your site when they Stumble. Like Me, LOL — that is exactly how I found OSN. It is a good way to get new traffic. :)

Thank you Freya! I am going to download the firefox addon and give stumbling a shot, I have the account, I may as well use it!

Freya

Awesome! I hope you enjoy it too :)
