Babbling Good Times

So yesterday was a long, but fun, day!

My sister bought me some herbs and vegetable plants! Bell peppers, tomato, basil, lavender, and oregano!

image

image

We then went to the Janet Evanovich book signing with Mary,  which was so much fun and awesome!

Then we went back to Mary’s place, ate some nachos n stuff, and watched tv. We then pranced all over to walgreens to print out some of the photos I took of the book signing. I then fixed Mary’s computer ahhaha. We didn’t get home until like 2am!

So today Matt and I took chubs to the sand area and I made a little sand goddess.

image

The apartment complex people did ALL of the windows in the apartment, except for MY ROOM. Go figure.

Also, I got in the mail from the awesome MJ, these earrings!!

image

And apparently my dad broke my chalice (goblet) so yet another thing gone from my altar.

My sister bought me glitter glues, stencils, brushes, paint, etc, so I could decorate a new glass but I don’t have a glass right now TO decorate.

I’m hoping that within the next three months I can afford to start knitting, more and more I really want to learn to knit heh.

So yeah I am still tired from yesterday lol. So I am still making no sense.

Out of the darkness and into the sun

I want to write everyday but by the time I get home I feel like my brain can’t work. Or maybe it’s just that I have nothing of importance to say?

I had a decent day at work, although it was slow since it has been raining all day, the guys bought me breakfast lol. Feel the love!

Thanks to the perfection, MuseLog has a fantastic new design! Seriously, stare and love. We plan on getting new designs up all around Pagan at OSN this weekend hopefully!

Onto knitting fun! I used the awesome yarn named SugarTree from Pippi Knee Socks. Not only was this yarn the most… perfect… yarn in the world, but the owner is so amazing! She is so nice! I even ordered two more hanks from her tonight, I am so excited! Oh and if you order from her by all means let her know I sent you hehe. So here are pictures, the first one is the un-knitted hank, then a swatch, then the finished mostly felted product lol

You know what rocks and is super affordable? Suave came out with this fantastic smelling seasonal body wash! It is called “Crisp Apple” and it is just… amazing!

image

I bought a crockpot at Kohls on sale for $15 so I would love recipes for it! I bought some portabella mushrooms to hopefully get a recipe made that Kestrel gave me. Right now Matt is cooking up chicken fajitas, the feista market had them on sale for $1.50 a pound so he got two pounds. I think I might get like 4lbs tomorrow and just freeze them.

Hmm… I think that is it lol. I work tomorrow just a short day and then I am going to relax!

Out of Touch

I am snacking on some pomegranate seeds right now, nummy goodness. These delectable treats always remind me of autumn for some odd reason.

image

I haven’t really knitted anything new lately although I have some fun yarn in my stash. Just unsure of what specifically to knit! I am doing a mindless knitting scarf. I figure a lot of people are going to get scarfs this year lol. I want to knit my son some clothing but having a bit of trouble coming across any toddler patterns.

For kicks here are some links of yarn I desire!! (have to love Ebay!)
Manos del Uruguay Wool Yarn — Lovely Fall Colors, 3 sks
Anything from Pippi Knee Socks (her ebay store) because she is so freaking amazing!
Autumn Leaves… Handspun, hand-dyed Chunky Wool Hank
Winter Blue, Handspun, Hand-dyed Wool Hank
Licorice Twist… Handspun & dyed Pure Wool Hank

I updated Visionary, my photolog!

I finally whipped up my autumn altar. I fell in love with the indian corn. So amazing!

A lot of stuff has been going on at work, I can’t discuss it but suffice to say I am so grateful my bosses are back in town lol. Oh and if you’re reading hi Kim!! (she’s the one who hooked me up with this job so we love her don’t we!)

My 23rd birthday is this upcoming Sunday, the 17th. I have a depressed feeling it will go un-noticed this year. My sister has been out of work for months so isn’t able to buy me anything even though I feel like she has the ability to make homemade glitter for me… my mom got me two magazine subscriptions (I got a card from her today), my father well, all I want from him is a card and to take me to the nearby farmers market so I can purchase happiness since I get paid tomorrow. My one friend in the area, well, for some odd reason any attempts to hang out physically end up thwarted so I give up on that. Really all I want are cards. A lot of cards. Real cards. If you want my address by all means I will share. Oh and yarn and knitting, oh and glitter, yes glitter, love the glitter! Pagany things would be nifty too lol. Oh yes all about the wanting!!

I am still waiting to be paid for a job I did somewhat recently, I need to buy my son some shoes, his are totally worn out already. Plus he needs more socks. Always with the socks I swear!!

On Oprah today, her guest, well her celeb guest was Celine Dion (who I think is amazing!), actually cried for some of the guests on the show, which was about couples having children against all odds basically, and this one couple, well they recently married and found out the husband had advanced cancer so they froze his sperm and he passed on and his wife went ahead and had a set of twins from that (isn’t that amazing?) and I guess it hit home because Celine’s husband had cancer and just ok rambling but it made me all emotional and such too.

I don’t know what else to say. More like I have so much to say but I just don’t know how to let it all out. I hope that makes sense!

Trying to Stay Calm

I love my Gina yes I do!

I took some more photos, because of their width I made them into popups, so click the photo to view the proper size! I also updated Visionary.

Tomorrow is my 23rd birthday. I know a lot of people are sending me cards and such late, so I am going to consider October my birthday month lol. I still would just adore to have birthday cards! Love cards!

I am right now drooling over some yarn from Pippi Knee Socks (ebay store). Just love her!

I need to slowly get started on dinner, most likely sweet potato french fries, hamburgers with pesto-mayo, and a salad. I still desperately need reciepes for my crock pot!

Blessed Samhain

I hope everyone had a very blessed and happy Samhain!

Here are some pictures I took today and tonight, including the pumpkin we carved and how quickly it got invaded by ants!

I made ribs with my grandmothers’s bar-b-que sauce recipe in the slow cooker, acorn squash, mashed garlic potatoes, and biscuits.  Very nummy, and Daniel just loves the ribs which is so shocking to me because he is not a big meat eater.

I finished knitting my bag with that yarn in the previous entry so here are pics of that, Matt is the one holding the bag. It is using a shoe box filled with videos to block it lol.

What shall I knit next? More purses/bags? Sweaters? Hats? Something else?

I kinda want a paid LiveJournal account now heh.

Visionary is updated! I also joined BlogExplosion.

I hope everyone remembered to move their clocks back one hour! Hopefully it will make me feel like I am getting an additional hour of desperately needed sleep!

I have a lot of stress related to work now, I think I will have to write a long LiveJournal entry about it heh.

Voting and Yarn

I voted after work, for Kerry of course.

Here is some awesome, fantastic, amazing yarn from my lovely friend! You can purchase some from her website, Pippi Knee Socks (ebay store) She even included the blue DPN’s! (double pointed needles)

The silky MJ got me 2 months of a paid LiveJournal account for my LJ!! How lovely I know!

I am just so exhausted, I didn’t sleep well last night and was totally cracked out feeling at work. Hopefully I will get some decent sleep tonight.

Oh, I did renew OSN so that will be going on four years soon enough lol. I am sure everyone that pops over to Pagan at OSN appreciates it!

Yarn Stash

For kicks, picture of my yarn stash. With the exception of the sparkly silver eyelash and the black with orange and red nubbys, it is all 100% wool.
image

Other yarn specifically for a bag for me not included in the main stash photo. I actually have a few more skiens not wound into balls so they didn’t get included in the photos.
image

And lastly, two scarfs, closeups of them from yarn I got from the lovely Pippi Knee Socks (ebay store)

Snow and Knitting

First off, here is a picture of the more shorter strap for MJ’s bag! It should fit much better now.

image

Next is the start of a bag for me, similar to MJ’s bag in color scheme just a touch different!

image
image

It started snowing today, Daniel just loves it! Takes after me in that aspect lol.

Here he is shoveling the snow.

image

Here he is preparing a snowball to throw at his daddy!

image

Here he is staring out the window at the snow lol.

image

Here is a demented snowman! Oddly enough Matt didn’t place the leaves and such on the face, when he was rolling up the snowball head, it naturally picked up the leaves in that formation!

image

Lastly, some of the lovely snow on the bushes!

image

I am so super exhausted lately, I’ve been working late and I will be working Saturday because my bosses are out of state on their vacation right now. It’s stressful because some specific workers tend to slack off a hell of a lot when they are on vacation and I am stuck with all the complaints about it. I just wish instead of bitching or cussing or smoking they could get off their asses and actually work. It really drives me insane.

Tomorrow Matt will be doing most if not all, of the fancy dinner, including the turkey, since I work all day. I will have to remember to bring a light lunch so I have room for it all!

Well I am going to chat with a friend for maybe 30 min if not less because I have to be up so early tomorrow!

  • Fought for a VBAC and lost
