Birchbox November 2013

November 14th 2013 2 minutes to read

Here’s my Birchbox November 2013!

If you love getting to try new products out (especially cosmetic products) then I suggest jumping on the Birchbox bandwagon! I’ve been getting the boxes for a few years now ($10 a month) and have found a few products I really enjoy (and have become purse staples).

I thought I would just do a quick post on what I got for this month’s box and by all means if you’re interested go and sign up! I would love it if you did it via my affiliate link: Birchbox Affiliate because I can then earn points. I’m all about reward systems!

The products are (in no particular order):

  • Eyeko Black Magic Mascara
  • AYRES Body Butter – Midnight Tango
  • Serious Skincare┬« Glycolic Gommage Extreme Renewal
  • Ahmad Teas Assorted Teas
  • Color Club┬« Cocktail Hour Collection Nail Polish – Top Shelf
  • Birchbox Holiday Guide

The guide is pretty nice and has a lot of suggestions for gifts.

I actually like the mascara! The tube format is interesting, you can squeeze it to get every last bit of mascara out and it makes me think it wouldn’t dry out as quickly because of that.

The body butter… the scent is just too strong for me. I’m sensitive about that sort of thing. It’s a nice scent, it just competes too much with my perfume. However, that being said, the texture is fantastic. It’s really hydrating without being greasy.

The Serious Skincare Glycolic scrub looks interesting! I need to exfoliate because I have dry skin that, especially this time of year, can go towards flaky so exfoliating is a must. This is sort of like a mask and scrub in one. I also like that I got a big enough deluxe sample to use it at least two or three times.

The tea… I simply do not like flavored teas. I drink only hot green or white loose leaf teas. I’m a bit picky there.

The nail polish… I like the formula of Color Club polishes but I already have shades (no surprise right!) just like this one. What can you expect from someone that has a wall of nail polish!

Overall it’s a really nice box, if it wasn’t that I had similar products or was picky about my beverages, it would be a total winner.

Price: $10 each month

I only got four hours of broken-up sleep last night. I’ve never been good at napping. I’m just left in this exhausted awake state of being.

Happy/Blessed Beltane, everyone!

Playing Catch-Up

I am pretty sure the last two weeks are catching up because I am beyond exhausted today. Trying to get caught up with the online world.

I Redesigned, Again

I redesigned OSN. It looks best at higher screen resolutions. That’s where you get all of the fancy effects. It’s fine on mobile but absolutely shines on a computer. Hopefully, everything works across the board. I tried to make the homepage an actual one, harkening back to the olden days of blogging.

I really need to sign up for birchbox or ipsy. I think I deserve a little inexpensive treat every month and now that I’m working full time. Do you get perks for suggesting friends for ipsy too? I love that brand of tea! They make a wonderful loose leaf Earl Grey.

Reply to Amanda

Yes, I get points with Ipsy! I’m actually posting my November Ipsy bag tomorrow.

The tea is yours lol!

Looks like an interesting mix of things!! The scrub and body butter sound good! I also don’t like scents that are too strong!
