I’ve wanted to learn how to knit for quite a long while, and it will be a VERY long while before I can afford ANY supplies to do so, but I was wondering if anyone has any nifty resources they could share with me? By all means if you want to take pity and shove off any knitting materials you do not use to me… I’m not gonna say no lol. :)
Sorry Sarah, I don’t knit…
I’m just learning to knit, I still can’t read patterns, but this was posted on Luna Stella and it looked easy enough so once I’m more financial and can afford all the wool I’m going to give it ago. check out that site, they have links to casting on etc etc.
Hehehe…Well, I recently taught myself to knit last February. I will look through my knitting stuff tonight and see if I can rustle up a small something to begin knitting with. If I find anything…I will email you and let you know. YAY, knitting is too much fun.
Oh, and I can also share links with you for online resources too. My group knitting blog is that is a start. Will email soon.
I knit, Sarah! My mother mainly taught me, but I know of a few good books that can help you. I don’t know many online sorces. But I do know that the book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0761128182/qid=1087885211/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_2/002-5482607-1303207 is quite resourceful and has a few easy patterns. And my favorite: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0786885300/qid=1087885086/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/002-5482607-1303207?v=glance&s=books&n=507846.
But I do know of a fellow Pagan knitter: http://www.stitch-witch.net/ …I don’t know if her site is exactly resourceful..but it is quite inspiring. I wish you good luck on learning how to knit! And I’m glad to see someone else pick up the habit. ^^
