Mini Life Update

I just realized I’ve not done any sort of basic update post on my LIFE in… a long time.

My boys are doing good. Tristan has a small handful of words although mainly it’s still Dada, Dan, and iPad, go figure! I rarely if EVER get Momma. He is such a daddy’s boy for real! Daniel is getting more independent which causes me insane anxiety but I just grit my teeth and deal with it the best I can. It’s hard because times are just so different than when I grew up.

Married life is very good, granted we rarely if ever get alone time (the cat and boys are against us!) but still! Keith works six days a week and anywhere from 10-14 hour days which is so hard since we are a one car household so I get a bit stir crazy. Hopefully next year we will be able to spring for a second vehicle!

I’m apparently dealing with some weight loss issues since I keep bouncing back and forth between the same ten pounds. It’s VERY frustrating. It makes me feel like I’m “meant” to be this weight. Logically I know that’s not the case but this has been going on for over a month now.

I ponder another “what’s in my makeup stash of doom” post but I don’t think my “beauty” posts go over too well. I tend to be known more for blogging / WordPress tips and photography apparently!

So I can’t think of anything else really going on so if you have any questions for me, by ALL means ask (anything / everything!)

This post is over a year old which means the content may be outdated or no longer accurate.

First, I am for real loving this spring makeover. SO CHEERY! Second, I love your little makeup stash posts. But, I’m a fellow makeup geek, so that’s probably why.

Lastly, I like these little life updates… do more of them. ;)

It’s bright that’s for sure LOL.

You seem to have purchased a lot of makeup lately and from the looks of it your stash was aleady pretty big! You should consider putting that money aside every month, you can get a cheap but reliable used car for around $2500 to get yourself and the boys out of the house.

Well the car we have IS my car that I bought in ’06. Finally paid off too which is awesome and we don’t want a ‘beater with a heater’ lol. It’s normally fine but with the warmer weather, we are feeling cooped up (all the rain hasn’t helped).

Next week DH is working what they call “nights” (11am shifts) so I’ll be able to take him to and from work (15 min drive). It’s only a struggle when I have to try and get the boys up at 6am to take him to work that it turns into a major fail LOL.

Who cares what you’re known for? Do what you want to do.

Because I want to be helpful. Complaining or writing “I’m bored” isn’t helpful lol.

I’d love to hear what kind of delicious food you’ve been cooking lately!

I really should do another recipe post soon!

I think we might splurge and get a BIGGER food processor as the one we have (and I love) is one of those teeny sized ones for making salsa or small prep.

Lovely to hear from you again!

I don’t reply to the make-up posts because I don’t wear make-up.

Write about whatever you like. :)

You probably are at the weight you’re meant to be. Are you familiar with the experiment Dr Ethan Sims did in the 1960s? Basically, in exchange for early release prisoners could volunteer to gain weight. They were only able to gain 10-15% more weight even on a 10,000+ calorie diet. When they returned to their normal diets they returned to their normal size. I seem to hang out around 200lbs no matter what I do. There is some fluctuation when I, for example, start a new medication. This is a fine summation starting under the title, ‘The historical science of weight gain and set point’: http://junkfoodscience.blogspot.com/2008/10/first-law-of-thermodynamics-in-real.html

I know I’m not the weight I’m meant to be, I do need to lose at least another 100lbs (and that’s just to be in a healthy area, not even “thin”!).

I am curious about the article though so I will read it in a bit!
